Bloodworm Chrionomid Red

Bloodworm chironomid flies are a popular choice for fly fishing in Stillwater lakes. These flies imitate the bloodworm larvae of midges, which are a staple food source for trout and other fish. Ive caught some of my biggest trout in lakes on this fly. Best when fishing this tandemdom with another cast out as far away from the boat as possible and try not to recast that bobber be patient. Fishing with bloodworm chironomids can be effective throughout the year, especially in summer. Tied on hook sizes 10 through 14 bead is a 2.8mm cyclops tungsten bead.
